An All-Time Favorite: Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream!
Hi Guys! Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream has always been one of my favorites, because of its delicate flavors and twists. It's an amazing flavor that especially goes well with Waffles! I've already posted a recipe for waffles too.. anyways, treat yourself to some Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream that's super easy to make! Mint + Chocolate is a really yum combo, and Ice Cream is also the classic dessert! Its sweet smell and taste blend perfectly with savory semi-sweet chocolate, dark chocolate bittersweetness, or actually, any chocolate :). So, let's get started!
Serves- 4-7 Cups (About 4-10 People)
Preparation Time- 5 minutes
Cooking Time- 15 minutes
Total Time- 20 minutes
Ingredients-
Cold Whipping Cream/Heavy Cream/All Purpose Cream - 2/3 Cup
Cold Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1/3 Can
Vanilla Extract (Optional) - 1/3 Teaspoon
Chopped Chocolate / (Dark) Chocolate Chips - 2 Cups
Green Food Coloring (Optional) - A Few Drops
Peppermint Extract / Finely Chopped Mint - A Few Drops / 1/4 Cup -2 Cups (Depends on how much of a minty taste you want; add a little at a time.)
Either add the (Few Drops Of) Peppermint Extract or the Finely Chopped Mint.
Instructions-
- Place the sweetened Condensed Milk in the fridge to keep it cold.
- Beat the Cream on medium (in a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment or using a hand mixer) until stiff peaks form.
- Pour the Condensed Milk into the Whipped Cream. (Stir in the Vanilla Extract now if desired.)
- Now, turn the speed back on high again, and whisk until the mixture is thick and has stiff peaks.
- Mix in the Chopped Chocolate/(Dark) Chocolate Chips, Green Food Coloring (Optional), and the Peppermint Extract/Finely Chopped Mint Leaves. Adding (crushed/small pieces of) Mint Oreos is a real bonus!
- Taste for desired flavor. Freeze in an airtight container for 6-8 hours. Keeps upto 2 weeks.
