Whole Wheat Margherita Pizzas!
Hey Guys! I posted a recipe for Veggie Pizza, Paneer Pizza, Vegan Pizza Sauce, and Vegan Whole Wheat Pizza Dough! So... I decided to post a recipe for a Whole Wheat Margherita Pizza! This recipe is an easy and very delicious classic Margherita Pizza. Only 7 ingredients, and 40 minutes... best for sleepovers, parties, hangouts... you name it! Margherita is also an all-time favorite... super easy and quick! With unique spices and basil leaves, it can really come off with a splendid taste. So, let's get started!!!!! :)
Serves- 7 Pizzas
Preparation Time- 5 mins
Cooking Time- 35 minutes
Total Time- 40 minutes
Ingredients-
Pizza Dough - You can use your own Pizza Dough, Store-Bought or you can try my posted recipe for a Whole Wheat Vegan Pizza Dough! 7 Ingredients!
Pizza Sauce - You can use your own Pizza Sauce, Store-Bought or you can try my posted recipe for a- Vegan Pizza Sauce! 10 Minutes, 7 Ingredients!
Cheese - As Required (Preferably Mozzarella Cheese)
Basil Leaves - 5-6 (Optional)
Dried Oregano - As Required (Optional)
Chilli Flakes - As Required (Optional)
Instructions-
- Grease a pan/tray with Olive Oil, and sprinkle some Flour/Semolina on it. I baked my Pizzas in my Tandoor, and the Tandoor's tray comes with reusable baking sheets (which I used).
- Take a medium-large ball of Dough and sprinkle some flour on top.
- Roll it into a thin Pizza (I made my Pizzas thin crust, but you can make your's average/slightly thick). Carefully lift and place the Pizza in the greased baking pan/tray.
- Spread the Pizza Sauce on top; I've used my homemade (posted) recipe for the Pizza Sauce.
- Add some Grated Cheese on top. Now, top with extra desired Toppings (Basil Leaves, Dried Oregano, (Red) Chilli Flakes, etc).
- Keep the Pizza pan/tray on the lower rack of an oven near the bottom heating element.
- This helps the Pizza to get a nice crisp and crusty base. Only use the bottom heating element in the oven. Also, keep your oven’s highest temp. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until fully baked.
- You can try this in your microwave but since I use my Tandoor, I don't know how it will turn out in a microwave.
- If you are making your Pizza in a Tandoor (with reusable sheets may be), then first arrange your Pizza then place it on your baking pan/tray/sheet. I left my Pizza in my Tandoor for a few minutes and it baked perfectly. Refrigerate if to eat later.
- Top with extra Toppings if desired. I added Tomato slices😄to my Thin Crust Margherita Pizza!
