Whipped (Korean) Dalgona Coffee! Easy, 4 Ingredients!

Whipped (Korean) Dalgona Coffee! Easy, 4 Ingredients!

Hey Guys! Dalgona Coffee is from South Korea and became one of the most trended recipes. In Dalgona Coffee, the mixture is whipped or beaten to an extent of getting a foamy, smooth, creamy consistency much like whipped cream. Its Frappe/Mocha-like. When I made this coffee for the first time, it was too strong and bitter. I altered a recipe a little, experimenting and what worked best was reducing the coffee a little and increasing the sugar. Following my recipe, you will get a perfect whipped coffee which is not too bitter, strong, sweet or over-whipped. You can make this recipe hot or cold too. Anyways, let's get started!!!!!   :)

Serves- 2 People
Preparation Time- 1 minute
Cooking Time- 9 minutes
Total Time- 10 minutes

Ingredients-

Instant Coffee  -  1 Tablespoon (Instant Coffee Powder)
Sugar               -  3 Tablespoons
Hot Water        -  2 Tablespoons
Milk                 -  1 and a 1/2 Cups
Ice (Cubes)      -  Few (Optional)
Cocoa Powder -  1/4 Teaspoon (Optional, for Topping)

     Instructions-

  1. Take the Instant Coffee Powder, Sugar and Hot (Boiled/Microwaved) Water in a bowl.
  2. Using a small whisk/spoon, whip and beat until the mixture is Creamy and Thick. This will take some time, but you would want to whip it fast.
  3. Whipping it fast makes it more Creamy and takes less time. Slightly tilting the bowl may help.
  4. To Whip the mixture, you can also use a blender/hand-mixer. You can add more Water, Sugar or Instant Coffee Powder if desired (I added a little more Instant Coffee Powder to mine eventually).
  5. Next, add a few Ice Cubes in a glass. (OPTIONAL).
  6. Divide the milk between both the glasses, then divide the Whipped Coffee equally on top (in both the glasses). The mixture would be thick, like a frosting.
  7. Sprinkle the Cocoa Powder on top for taste. (OPTIONAL). (I didn't use Cocoa Powder in mine).
  8. Refrigerate if to drink later. If you would like a Hot Dalgona Coffee, use warm milk. If you would like a Cold Dalgona Coffee, use chilled milk. You can also add Chocolate Chips, Syrups, Nutella, etc.
  9. ENJOY!!!!!   :)
