Homemade Subs (Subways!) (Sandwiches?😂)
Hi Guys! This week I bring to you, Homemade Subways! In my Neighbourhood, we have cooking competitions... I always participate, and I don't mean to brag but i also always win... First Prize!! I used this recipe once in the competition, so it's an award winning recipe. I have used this recipe a couple of times in potlocks, parties and gatherings. I am so excited... So let's get started!!! Level- Easy Just remember... don't put to much of mustard... i made that mistake once! I won two competitions with this awesome recipe... In the competition, we called them 'Brunch Boats' and did some of our own styling. #creativeculinary
Serves- 4-7 people
Preparation Time- 5 minutes
Cooking Time- 5 minutes
Total Time- About 10 minutes :)
Ingredients-
A Foot Long Bread (Like A Subway Bread) - 1
Mustard Paste - 2-4 Teaspoon (According to taste)
Tomatoes Cut Into Thick Slices - 2
Black Olives Cut Into Slices - 4-5
For The Greasing (Mixture)-
Vinegar - 3 Teaspoon
Olive Oil - 2 Teaspoon
Sugar - 2 Teaspoon
Salt - According to taste
Olive Oil - 2 Teaspoon
Sugar - 2 Teaspoon
Salt - According to taste
For The Topping (Ingredients)-
Red/Green And Yellow Caosicum Cut Into Strips - 2 Cups
Baked Beans (We May Not Use The Whole Can) - 1 Can (Big)
Black Peppercorns (Kalimirch Powder) - 1 Teaspoon (About A Pinch, According To Taste)
Salt - According To Taste
Other Ingredients-
Olive Oil - 1 Teaspoon
Grated Processed Cheese - 1/2 Cup
Dried Oregano Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
Dry Red Chilli Flakes (Paprika Seeds) - 1/4 Teaspoon
Instructions-
For Greasing-
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl for 1 minute or until the sugar dissolves. Keep aside.
Instructions To Start Making Your Sub-
- Cut the foot long bread horizontally. Brush inner part with greasing mixture.
- Apply the mustard paste (according to taste) on the bread like a thin layer.
- Put the tomato slices, the capsicum, (a pinch) drizzle the Kalimirch powder, and then baked beans. Sprinkle on the Processed Grated Cheese.
- Put on the black olives on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle a pinch or oregano and paprika seeds.
- Serve immediately. (Try not to serve later, but if needed Refrigerate if to eat later. If you eat it later, the bread may become soggy...) .
- ENJOY!!!!! :)
When I made for one of the competitions, we had to make a (dessert) sidedish... So I had made oreo shots (as in the picture). I posted that recipe too!!!
