Microwave Macaroni and Cheese in a Mug!
Hi Guys! A quick snack, dinner, short lunch, breakfast... you name it! Enjoy this single-serve recipe that can be made in minutes! If you want, you can add vegetables too... This homemade mac and cheese recipe can be mixed and cooked in a single mug. Many people are amazed that you can cook pasta quickly and easily in the microwave. If you are, then you might be blown away that you can add three other ingredients to make a delicious cheesy sauce.Using just milk, cheddar and cornstarch, you can make this rich mug meal in no time. Serves- 1 Person
Preparation Time- 1 minute
Cooking Time- 4 minutes
Total Time- 5 minutes
Ingredients-
Pasta (Macaroni) - 1/3 Cup
Cold Water - 3/4 Cup
Milk - 4 Tablespoons
Cornstarch - 1/2 Teaspoon
Cheddar Cheese - 4 Tablespoons (Grated/Shredded Cheddar Cheese)
Salt and Pepper - Add According To Taste
Instructions-
- In a large microwavable mug, or large microwavable bowl, add the Macaroni and Water. You need a large mug/bowl as the Water will boil up.
- Microwave for roughly 3 and a 1/2 minutes. Yours might take more/less time to microwave. You want the Pasta to be fully cooked.
- Pour off the remaining cooking Water.
- Stir in the Milk, Cornstarch and Shredded/Grated Cheese. Microwave for 60 seconds to create your sauce. Stir well, and add Salt and Pepper according to taste.
- You can make this recipe the night before you need it, and then microwave it the next day. Refrigerate if to eat later. To enjoy more, eat warm.
